like i don't care how drunk, i don't believe samuel hartley would act this way. nope nope nope. also don't think vale would have acted this way. nope nope nope. not with all those people around. not in emmie's house. just like took me completely out of the story cuz i found it soooooooo out of character for them. now if they were not surrounded by a ton of folk IN her house, then ok. i can see them doing this.

i was zooming through this book like it was a maiden lane novel. loving it. yes some stuff was ridiculous but it comes with the genre. still i love the heroine. she a spitfire. the lead is from the new world, usa. loving the veterans with ptsd being portrayed. love the mysteries. love the best friend and aunt and son. love the younger sister. love the push and pull. but this scene ... i had to stop reading.
