It's been a really fun time since the last update. Now that all the groundwork has been laid, things are finally picking up speed and coming together.

This is a pretty slow book. Interesting, but slow. I guess Sanderson is doing a lot of scene setting here given that this is meant to be a 10-book epic fantasy series. Looking forward to a bit more action.

Unfortunately, I had to return it to the library, so I won't be able to continue it for about 4 weeks when I can get the audiobook again.

Slow to start, but the world and character building are top-notch. I'm listening to this on audiobook, which is primarily how I consume books these days, and I can't say I'm a fan of the narrator. It's very dry without any real differentiation in the voices of the characters. There's also not much emotion in the delivery of lines.

The story is okay so far...waiting to see how it builds. The narration is subpar.
