Interesting how Lindley proposes that the uncertainty, explained as “the observer changes the thing observed”, in physics makes scientific knowledge of physics less scary to other disciplines. In other disciplines, like journalism, anthropologists and literary critics uncertainty is more familiar than certainty, what physics claimed to give (piece by piece of explanation of physical world).
