So far this has been my least favorite of the malazan book of the fallen, the retired bridge burner scenes have been what saves it. I’m hoping it picks up in the back half, but damn this one more than any other for me has been a slog. I gotta keep reminding myself that I need to trust the author cuz up till this point, I’d say this series has been the crowning achievement of all of literature.
