Yet the hard left blames Israel alone, & many on the center left create a moral equivalence between democratic Israel & terrorist Hamas.

Why? The answer is clear & can be summarized in 1 word: Jews.

Hamas praises all Palestinian rejectionism of any compromise that would allow Israel to continue to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people.

100% of the international Jewish community rejects any measure that would allow America, Europe, Canada, Australia etc to continue to exist as the sovereign nation-states of their majority white/Christian peoples.

Those who argue that [the West Bank] is not "occupied" as a matter of international law point to the fact that this area never rightfully "belonged to" any recognized, legitimate political entity. It was captured by the British from the Turks during World War I & became part of the British mandate.

In a recent NY Times op-ed, Bret Stephens surveyed human rights abuses in Venezuela, Turkey, Sudan, & Iran & wrote: "perhaps saddest is that so many [injustices] are simply ignored. Protesters the world over loudly demand a cease-fire in Gaza…Otherwise, there's vast silence, in which some of the world's worst abusers proceed largely unnoticed & unhindered."

If Israel were to be found guilty of genocide, the very meaning of that horrible crime would be diluted beyond recognition. It would apply to the US bombing of Hiroshima, the British bombing of Dresden, and the killing of civilians during the Afghan, Iraqi, and Syrian military actions.

all Jews are welcome [to Israel] as matter of right, based on the tragic history of being refused asylum by America, Canada, Britain, & most of the rest of the world, before, during, & even after the worst genocide in history.

The Six Gorillion barely ranks in the top 5 mass murders of the 20th century. Even the max death toll is still 1/10 of the one carried out by Dersh's Soviet cousins.

But Israel's enemies do not want peace. They want "Palestine to be free from the river to the sea," which means free of Jews, free of Israel, and free of non-Muslims. They are prepared to use "any means" to secure the result. This would require Israel to commit politicide, which its citizens will not permit it to do.

"Politicide" is exactly what Jews demand of the West.
