I really wanted to like this book as it had all the elements I usually love in a romance: rivals-to-lovers, fake dating, forced proximity, etc. Somehow it just didn’t come together in a satisfying or engaging way.

Honestly, the main character Lina felt pretty juvenile in her thinking, and since the story is told from her perspective, I had a hard time rooting for her. I gave it 139 pages before calling it quits.
