I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that feels this truthful about what a futuristic capitalist dystopia would be.
Also love the humor - Lazarus is so funny in how pathetic he is. Little details like him thinking a detective is cool a chapter after we see Silvie repeatedly explain how much he sucks, or how everyone rolls their eyes at him and he doesn’t make the connection.
Plus the dolphins.

The dolphins are giving me Johnny Mnemonic vibes and I love it (as well as one of my favorite Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror stories). Walsh is taking on the mantle of prophet from Gibson (and The Simpsons I guess).
