A perilous journey. In the book, yes, but I’m talking about my drive to Colorado! First 6 hours were great, smooth sailing and full of energy. Then the storm. On the first front, I slide through a sliver of calm, bookended by the most lightning I’ve seen in my life. I take shelter from the second front. Today, a second wind. Flying! That’s when I saw the empty space where my fanny pack was meant to be. Fuck.
