Finished up the Twain selections, now time to back up for some Bret Harte.

I finished the Jack London stories and am now jumping back to Twain.

Reading London, it’s easy to see how his style bled into Robert E. Howard’s own. There is a similarity in description, pessimism and savage protagonists.

Reading some Jack London. London was one of Robert Howard’s favorite authors, so his writing is of great interest to me.
