I keep wanting to put this book down and read Rosamunde Pilcher. I haven't yet. The mysteries are good, but the stereotypical portrayal of crime solving is a little hard to take in story after story. All the women are 'dames' or older wives. This book is definitely about the mysteries. There is almost no character development.
