Is this legitimate? They really didn't see it? Or is it scapegoating and covering their a** after the fact? Curious what readers think?

It is ironic that Jake Tapper can profit from contradicting his previous statements about Biden’s mental acuity and fromso egregiously failing to get the real story when it mattered. Throw in his shameless self-promotion and on the air hype of the book on CNN. Jon Stewart has crucified him for his hypocrisy. Jake’s excuse is that he was lied to by Biden’s handlers. Any professional journalist worth their salt should trained to read between the lines and look beyond the rhetoric. Jake failed miserably in this regard. He and his employer CNN are less likely to question and dig deep when the lies and half truths suit their own convictions and agendas. Think about Jake moderating the debate meltdown. He had recently excoriated special counsel Robert Hur for his mention of Biden’s deteriorating memory. He publicly insulted Hur and questioned his integrity. Oddly enough, the book cites Hur’s report as evidence of Biden’s lapse and conveniently forgets Tapper’s ad hominem barbs. Jake Tapper’s started his own coverup the night of the debate when he had a ringside seat to the real Joe.. Time for a revisionist whitewash. Jake also trashed.the WST for citing the evidence on Hunter Biden’s missing laptop, citing his affair with his deceased brother’s widow and how he introduced her to crack cocaine (to which she became addicted). The new Jake now hijacks the WST story into the book. There is more of this in a video clip promoting the book. At least co-author Alex Thomson was consistent early on is questioning Biden’s mental fitness. When queried about the coverup Democratic leaders like Schumer and Jeffries refuse to discuss this issue much less acknowledge their shortcomings. Maybe the proper response moving forward is for the American voters is caveat emptor … never underestimate the ability of politicians, pundits and the press to lie, deceive z as nd gaslight.
