This author is doing some great world building but this book feels like it’s strictly setting up the series and nothing else. I don’t have any buy in on side characters and kind of feel like I’m reading a 500 page prologue. Don’t get me wrong, I love the world we’re getting in. But I need a solid plot and I feel we’re getting in too deep to force something to happen now.
