Frustratingly over complicated in the writing and number of characters.

Our publicist / detective narrator casually mentions his wife and child and that they have separated. This is new news as he behaves like a single man who leaves his dog at home all the time. no cause for empathy for any of these characters.

Farce! Too much going on - too many characters with weird quirks.

My interest in this goes between all or nothing. The story within the story is more interesting
