I hate cheating spouses, and Urmila is slowly inching herself into the wife category. Where is Mamta, BTW? Is she just a figment of his imagination, or are they legally separated?

This affair angered me in book1, and instead of trying to make up with his wife, he strengthened this illicit relationship , and then he's ashamed to be seen as a "couple" with Urmila .

What utter hypocrisy!!

I'm getting tired. The books flat. The characters are all 2 dimensional and not likeable at all. I don't like Borei. He's a 51byr old man child who treats his team like a teacher treats his students. The recurring charachters of Ratna, Stanley, Santosh, and Gajendra too aren't developed . There's so much talk and explanation. It's hurting my brain.
I'm taking a break.

It's actually going well, though I still believe this has been written as a rough script for a Netflix adaptation. The plot is solid. I am still seething with Borei and.Urmila. What is this name, Borei? Is it some sort of a mutilation of a more traditional name? Father's name is Chidanand, and his older brother is Nagendran, so Im a little confused. Also, I've concluded that I really do not like anyone.
