I’m just gunna say that if someone recommends this book to you they are not your friend. They do not like you. They certainly do not love you. Cut them out of your life and whatever you do don’t read this book. Unless you want endless stupidity.

I love that Luke, the criminal/ex gang member, is like “yeah hunter, the guy who bullied Sylvie or months and robbed a store, is definitely going to follow the rules and not attack Sylvie at school because he’s not allowed to.

This plot makes no sense because hunter clearly scared of Luke. That’s obvious. However he’s still willing to risk it to get Sylvie to “tell the truth” however, once he’s over 18 his records will be sealed. Especially because he only had community service. He’ll literally be fine. But him and his friends are all willing to commit murder like that’s not a more serious crime?

Side note she went into anaphylaxis like days ago… so maybe don’t sing??? Like I feel like that would hurt and maybe damage your vocal cords or something. I don’t know though.

I can’t handle this level of second hand embarrassment! Please someone give her apples again so she’ll go into anaphylaxis! I don’t care what you have to do just make it stop!

I’m pretty sure (spoilers) one of hunters parents cheated on the other with one of her foster parents and Sylvie told and that’s the “lie” he wants her to come clean on.
That said no kids going to murder a girl because his friend wants him to.
This further supports my theory that this author has never met another human in her life and she herself may not be one.

He literally pinches him and then says, and this is a quote, “what big arms you have, hunter. Have you been working out?” And then he pinches him again
What is happening?!

Just to give you a little taste of this book here’s a scene to paint that picture.
Luke, the big bad wolf MMC, is known for fighting he was in a gang but then he brought them down.
Sylvie, the nerdy FMC, is being bullied by Hunter
When Luke finds out he’s mad and he’s about to pay hunter back for everything he’s done to Sylvie. By pinching him. Yup. Pinching him. Better watch out, Big bad wolfs coming!

The interesting thing about this book is that it’s awful but at the same time I can’t stop reading.
It reminds me of a book written by someone who never went to high school or never talked to a high schooler or maybe never talked to another human before. Idk.
It’s so awkward and bad and they keep getting offended over the silliest things. Like FaceTiming a 5 year old, or being rushed at her locker.
