Solastalgia is a term coined by philosopher Glenn Albrecht to describe the emotional distress or homesickness felt when one's home environment is negatively impacted by environmental change, even while still residing in that environment. It's essentially the feeling of being homesick while at home, due to a perceived loss of solace or comfort in one's surroundings.
