“My mind a tempest, churning and writhing like a stormy sea waters. This woman, Emily, is an enigma. She’s unpredictable force breaking through all my barriers, dismantling the fortification I’ve meticulously built over the years.” Again, great writing but it’s way too much for such a short novella. If this was a full fledge novel, fine. It’s like she is filling it up bc she wants the word count up.

I’ve read a lot of quick insta love mountain men books however this author is writing paragraphs like she is trying to win a writing award. The paragraph are long and overly complicated. “The firefighter I once was takes the helm the instincts I’d suppressed surging forth with undeniable force.” There is a whole paragraph like that. She is too wordy for this to be a 70 page book..
