I can only suspend my disbelief so far. I’m enjoying this story BUT twice now I’ve had to pretend the conclusions drawn by the main character make sense. It’s clear the author mapped out the plot beats, but getting the reader on board is a different matter. Strike 2 😭

The first trial made no sense at all. I felt crazy re-reading passages to see if I missed something but the “riddle” wasn’t there. I hoped by the end it would click into place but it didn’t. I’m wary moving forward. The next trial better be epic
