Picked this book up after hearing a description of the cover art by blindboy which was so bizarre and memorable that i literally recognised it instantly when i spotted it in a chazza. O’Faolain seems to be a short story writer akin to Frank O’Connor (my absolute fav) totally obsessed with cataloguing every variety of irish character. First few stories a bit too sentimental for my liking but hopefully bounces back
