Deborah:
What a weird story. I liked it, a very description heavy story about a cottage that was once owned by a woman called Deborah and who now, I believe, haunts the cottage, possessing tenants as they stay in order to keep the cottage spick and span and everything left as it was. Very, very different to what I've read of Josephine Tey's work so far.

Terror:

This was a really strong short story, it follows a six year old girl who wakes up during the night in her pitch black bedroom and imagines the distorted shadows of her room as monsters and creatures coming to get her. It's very short but it works very well. I read this at 8am but I wish I read it when it was dark in my room—not that I am going to get scared myself of a few pesky shadows.
