I don’t really like when the narrator sort if talks to the reader. For example: “I made sure to take a moment before opening the passenger door (blablabla). Don’t worry, there was no bruise on his forehead after yesterday’s other incident.” Like girl are you talking to me? Wym “don’t worry”?
I’m not loving the writing style in general either, feels too simple and repetitive.
