I won’t be continuing this book. It feels completely different from the rest of the series and a bunch of the timelines are off from what was said in other books. So sad as this was my favourite series and I was so excited for this book. I was hoping the timeline would take place after taming 7 and not from pov of a bunch of kids. I also feel the trauma didn’t need to be as graphic to get the effect across.

I want to add that I completely respect Chloe as an author. This is not something I was able to read for my own mental health but I understand these situations are a reality for some people. I think for me personally, a lot of aspects I loved about boys of tommen were missing from this book, but that doesn’t mean the book isn’t good and important - it just wasn’t what I expected for the series. I hope Chloe continues to have success with this series. I love her characters and her world.

Also I might finish this book once the next one comes out - but I feel like I need to wait until there can be more resolution to give me peace of mind (although not sure that will happen - just really hoping Lizzie gets a happy ending)
