This was my favourite of the series and one of the best 40k books I’ve read too - It really got me into Mike Brooks and I went on to fall in love with his Black Coast trilogy which is wonderfully unique and character deep.

I haven't read that many of the Primarch novels yet, but this stands out as far and away the best of the field between the ones I have read and what I've heard of the others. Really really interesting character study.
