I couldn’t stay invested and gave up halfway through😔 I loved the grandma and her relationship to the girl initially but the plot got too cliche for me to the point where I stopped caring about where it went :( I also wonder if a lot of Backman’s style was lost in the translation to English because so many of the sentences came off a little dull and choppy.
