Lol, I recall enjoying this book, although it's best not to analyze the plot too closely. If you've ever worked with an accountant you'd know what I mean. The controller we have at work now doesn't even know how to turn off the water at the base of the toilet when it's overflowing, let alone know how to pick up a sword :)

I think there's a sequel based on their son but never hunted it down.

Misfit, I agree about not analyzing it too closely. But, it sure was a great read even if some of the stuff was a little unbelievable. It couldn't wait to finsh it and when I wasn't reading I was thinking about the book. I finished it this morning and haven't been able to start another book yet. The characters are still with me. I love it when a book does that. I have already ordered the sequel. Looking forward to it. There is also another book in the series with Anice the Laird's daughter-in-law but read a few reviews on that one and don't think I will get that one.

Isn't that fun when an author can wrap you up in a story like this anyway? Wish there were more like that.
