Look-I get the folks who think the opening of the musical (before the chandler rise) is boring but hey it’s way more intriguing then having the author trying to convince poorly that the Phantom was real and thanking his friends and opera house shareholders plus people who survived the tragedy of that night. There was cool foreshadowing, other than that, a bore. I hope, the rest of the book makes up for it.
