Burke needs a LOT of therapy. He’s like Reacher was in the beginning. Very…not even one note. No note. He’s…a blank slate. It’s…boring. His non-reactions make the action that would terrify a normal person become “meh” to this reader. It’s DULL.

If I hadn’t read some fellow GR reader reviews, I would still be scratching my head, wondering who the BLEEP Bobby was. Yay author self-insertion. Also, no clue how old Burke is when he gets back from the war or how long he was married before his wife left him. He was badly wounded and she was like, NOPE. I got me someone while you were fighting for freedom. PEACE. What a BLEEEEEEP!!
