a really intimate analysis of family trauma and the damaging psychological effects on a woman

this character is so interesting. she’s a feminist yet she hates her blackness and uses men for validation. she has deep childhood trauma that she ignores and refuses to see a therapist, yet she’s a psychiatrist. her identity is so conflicting its only a matter of time before it all collapses on her.
