onto book four aka the book of doom and despair

just remembered xie lians bad cooking is to remember his mom. nothings funny anymore

people trying xie lians cooking will never not be funny. he xuan passing out and sqx crying 😭😭

the flashbacks in this book get so long i forget whats happening in the present. for example the entirety of book 2 being a flashback. A HORRIFIC TRAUMATIC flashback mind you… and afterwards going right back into qi rong and xie lian arguing. it gives me whiplash. but genuinely the fall of xianle/ xie lians past makes me so sick. its so fucked up :(
