A serious and well written book that is completely throwing me out the zone with poor cultural references. It's 1990 and I can just about believe a random teenager has heard of Courtney Love (though unlikely) I'm pretty sure there's no band called Pearl Jam quite yet and she's certainly not playing their records. Argh. This stuff isn't hard to get right if you really feel the only way to signal 1990 is to include it.
