I feel obligated to like this and I love the writing style but am having a hard time with just how terrible the MCs are at communicating - the premise of the conflict seems way too flimsy for 350 pages.

DNF'd at 20% - the miscommunication trope was a little too simple, too early, and too relentless. So many other positives though - maybe I'll pick it back up at another time.

I really liked this but I also found the miscommunication frustrating. Unfortunately, I felt like they had poor communication the entire book

Ok that’s really good to know. I don’t know if I have the patience for that right now so maybe I’ll come back to it later!
I felt the same, great style and premise but the miscommunication goes on too long
