At first I found freya insufferable and considered DNF’ing this book. However, after that (spoiler alert) battle with draug and seeing her grow in her acceptance of Hlin’s power within her, I am starting to like her a bit more. Though I do find her constant lusting after Bjorn annoying the rest of her character is interesting. Plus the setting is well done as is the plot line.
