Really holding out hope for this book because I don’t want to DNF it, but some parts of the book are so bad it’s almost funny. Which is frustrating because I wish it was worse so it’d be entertaining or just actually better.

I’m determined that this won’t be the second cozy mystery I dnf in a row, but my GOD this is way too “cozy” of a cozy mystery!! The comical amount of police negligence in the first 2 chapters, the forty-something-year-old mother who acts fifteen and her fifteen-year-old daughter who acts forty-something, the word “curmudgeon” once every chapter; I cannotttt
