I rarely say anything about books I dislike, but I was really looking forward to this and it's a huge disappointment.

Too much tell, not enough show. Constant head hopping, sparse dialogue, and lack of character interactions make it hard to get invested in the little characterization there is. It reads more like a rough outline than polished prose, which makes sense because it's based off a ttrpg campaign replay.
