YA author Rin Chupeco accused a group of white authors of having a private Slack channel where they made fun of (specifically) BIPOC YA authors. Rory Powers was a part of the group along with Emily Duncan, Christine Lynn Herman, and Claire Wenze. Emily led the charge but Rory supported. she’s since posted an apology but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ there’s a ton more lore on reddit
