The main character Casey is making something really good seem so bad. She is someone who feels sorry for themselves and is not optimistic. I think she may have to change this in order to make her summer better.

The author pays a lot of attention to detail. Lesley Dahl describes the setting very well. I like all of the detail, but sometimes I wish the author would just get to the action.
