Respect - this has been staring at me from my shelf since publication. How is it?

It’s good. Well written. Characters are a bit pretentious but that is probably how the New York art scene is. Nothing much happens in the book, but there is something about the overall text that is compelling. I have been slow reading it since it is long and I keep getting distracted.

I can picture what this is like to read as well as if I were reading it from this description - I'll definitely get to it but probably not until next year at the earliest
