I didn't think I would like The Illiad, but really enjoyed the first 2 books.
But after the fighting started, it degenerated into genealogy and smack talk. At this point, it reminds me of an epic hillbilly family reunion, with the powerful mix family of the gods fighting and manipulating and back stabbing.
