I checked this out of the library bc it's as big as my torso and full of extremely detailed photographs of jewelry, which I am not immune to.

It's also written by a descendant of the Romanovs, so the degree to which it's sympathetic to royalty is not surprising, but passive voice is doing a lot of heavy lifting lmao. "then Nicholas II's family were killed" who killed them Michael? Why were they so upset Michael?
