I find the historical context fascinating, but this theological gobbledegook is truly baffling.

Armstrong really draws attention to the circular "logic" of early Christian thought, of how starting with the assumptions that God exists and is beyond rational understanding leads to quite tortuous justifications.

Already a couple of issues. The author has made some dubious assertions such as "Humanism is itself a religion without God– not all religions, of course, are theistic." and is not clear on which biblical events she considers historical or not.

Still, I'm finding it informative and interesting.
