Another quote, “in Rivendell there was a memory of ancient things; and Lórien, the ancient things still lived in the waking world.”
This in my mind seems like a comparison between the Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox Church. Rome equating to Rivendell and the orthodox Lórien.

I found this page beautiful. Haldir says, “The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still, there is much that is fair, and that all lands love is now mingle with grief, it grows, perhaps the greater.” I found this line to be Inspiring and deeply impactful Iight of the last year of my life.
