“They called you The Shepherd?”
It’s like something out of my books. The guys with the trying-super-hard-to-be-badass names like Whip Cock and Master Ass Daddy make me cringe. But, The Shepherd. It’s silly, but fitting.

When I come— thick, hot and heavy against the wall and dripping down my closed fist— I choke out her name and wonder how I’m going to survive the next year.

But my pliancy is shattered by how not right it is to be making out with one of my students. Under a desk. In my classroom.

From there, my thoughts go off-kilter. Dirty. Really dirty. Like how she’d tell me she’d gotten herself off with one hand while she graded my tests with the other.

Maybe being a tad promiscuous will make me feel like a real grown-up, and will smother the wholly inappropriate feelings I’m starting to develop for Zach Shepherd.
