This volume is a lot more all over the place than the first volume, and a result, not as enjoyable for me. But we’ve now gotten to the Quitely art, which is great, and a new story with a teenage mutant gang, of sorts, which I’m intrigued to see where it goes.

Only three issues left. The Quitely issues were great, and the storyline through there actually had some consequences, which was cool to see. Great ending to issue 138, so I curious how this volume will wrap up. Just sucks because I’ll have to wait a full year (or more) to read the rest…unless I go digital. We’ll see how this ends and then decide.

This just came out on Tuesday and I had to pre-order it because I enjoyed volume one so much. I didn’t expect it to start the way it has, but two issues in and I think I’m picking up the story again from where volume one left off, but it already has a different vibe to it, being a bit more mature.
