I really like how this book includes it own references in the book. I like how it includes the different sources it shows you how to cite. I think this book has many great helpful hints and many different go to guides. I love the ending of this book and how it shows the different citations in depth as well as the different kind of sources.

I really like ideas about take notes while researching. I think this is honestly easily way to deal with this. This will also make it easier to include research while writing your papers as well. That way you can keep up to date as you write. This is important and you should do this as you do research at the Archives and the American Heritage Center.

In this passage, it talks about passive and active voice. I think that this important to remember and reference to while writing because it is something that we all struggle with identifying. Try to find a definition for both in your own words to help understand and become more aware of it in your writing.

On this page it talks about the importance of respecting the subject you are studying. I think this is important to remember since both projects touch on identity. It is important to make sure you do not misrepresent or give them false identity within your papers. This can be a very touchy subject especially with terms like victimization. Keep this section in mind when representing your subjects.

It talks about how the way the historian views the event effects how they write about it. I thought this was interesting and thought that it should be kept in mind as going on ward in your research. How would someone else justify and review your projects? Would someone say the girl scouts death was over exaggerated? What were the justifications that the those people (particularly children) were put into the camps?

On this page, the author describes how your thesis and point of view on your research will change as you investigate further into it. I think this is important to remember as you go along in your own research projects. I am excited to see how my thesis and opinion will change as i go through and look forward to developing it.

The author describes the definition of history. I found this definition to intertwine with a lot of the definitions i have read in books and in Dr. Clarks classes. I thought that even though the definition of history and how others view can be slightly different in their interpretations, it is enlightening that they are all very similar and you can combine them to create your with a twist of what history is.
