A lot of things are rushed that shouldn't be, and there are almost cartoonish villains and evil speeches. The FMC is also really slow at times but I think it's intentionally done with a younger audience in mind. This is all making it sound like I don't like it when truly I do!! I just think I would have loved it if it had slightly more complex character work and overall plotting. Still a great YA book so far! I hope that makes sense!!
