i am so disgusted and terrified by the part i just read in this book and it makes me so sad that the main character had to endure such trauma at a young age, even worse thinking about how her trauma is some girls’ realities, ugh need to stop reading for the night, this book is way more intense than i had expected 😭

god this book makes me so queasy… it’s so sad and awful, the use of the “aswang” in filo folklore as an allegory for women’s suffering and intergenerational trauma… i thought this would be a quick read but i was quite wrong
