I want to like this. I really do. But every once in awhile the author tosses in a person's name or a town name that is strangely nonsensical and I am jarred out of the immersion.

I'm confused. I feel like I missed something. I thought this book was about a heist of hearts and so far all I've gotten is the MMC trying to pit factions against each other over and over. Which feels irrelevant to that plot as it was laid out to me. And the FMC with a curse, that I think was only partially explained, and unrest within her people. Lots of action but I can't find a clear plot yet.
