My biggest pet hate is when authors don't describe a character's looks, so you start to imagine someone in your head, I don't know - a gorgeous blonde guy with huge bulging muscles... And then 3/4 way into the book you're hit with "James' black spiked hair complimented his tall lanky frame so well..." Fuck outta herrrree!!!!
