I decided today it was the time for me to start writing again. I had some ideas for a while and now they demand to be written down or I risk to have my ass kicked. Wish me luck.

Daniel I most certainly gonna need it this time, so you're thanked. It's very nice of you!

message 2: by Talia (new)

Talia Good luck! I feel you, getting started is always the hardest part, at least for me :)

message 3: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Thank you, Talia.
I feel like every word's the hardest part, especially with this one. Heh, God, most of the time I don't even know where exactly I'm headed. But it's also fun, I think you can agree.

Yes. It's the journey rather than the destination to matter and to be the most fun. Knowing where you're headed sometimes it's not even necessary. The story will lead you where it needs to go nonetheless.

Sofia Good luck. Better obey the Muse.

I'd really like to be driven by the story, rather than the other way around, but fact is... I know what it needs me to say and I'm required to do it the best way I can. It's frustrating not to know how sometimes, because of the infinite ways to say what you have to say, so... as for now I'm just blindly aligning words hoping to nail it right.

Would also be better if the Muse spoke English fluently so I wouldn't have to bash my head against the wall repeatedly every time my Italian side kicks in and gets in my way. Ugh. Thanks, Sofia, I appreciate the support.

So, yeah, lots of head-against-the-wall going on around here, too.

Lots of those, yeah, and lots of migranes too.

Talia ahahah.
Pillows are as much as effective and don't entail pre-frontal-cortex lesions :)

Daniel Crepi, quel maledetto. I'll make sure I hug my trusted pillow, who goes by the name of Bob, next time I feel like my own head is playing tricks on me. Bob wishes you good night!

message 11: by Sofia (new)

Sofia I've heard that it's best to get it on paper any which way, italian et al, you can edit later. Your Muse is special not limited to one language. Figlia di passione probabilmente : P

message 12: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Mmm... I wouldn't say limited either, that's for sure, though in my experience the very same phrase can get two different appeals (sometimes even meanings) from language to language. It's a slight difference, a matter of taste, like with wine and foods. Makes sense to me but I can't speak for others. Anyway, yes! My Muse is not limited to I'll try to make the best of what she gives me.

message 13: by Sofia (new)

Sofia Whenever there is a case of the glass being either half empty or half full, I choose the latter. So yes not limited is great :D extra spice.

message 14: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Usually I'm inclined to choose the latter as well, but this time I'm afraid my stomach won't take such fullness without exploding. :D

message 15: by Sofia (new)

Sofia povero Daniele :D

I guess, comes from Russia-she- or just your inner sense?

message 19: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Hopefully the old and new Gods will help me finish this short, little story and post it somewhere eventually. Maybe here on GR as a fanfic, but to be honest I don't even know how these things work. Stay tuned, Katerina!

She must be Russian. I've been chasing her for years now but she keeps telling me to drink vodka (tons of vodka) if I ever want to catch her.
