it’s really interesting to compare Gary’s teen years with my husband’s (both he and Gary have been diagnosed with ASD).
Gary mentions trying out a new persona or character regularly, which is something my husband did as a way of ‘masking’ or practising how to be in social situations.
“In my head I was thinking ‘what an interesting boy I must be’…everyone else what thinking ‘what a wanker’. 😭
